Turning up the heat at Golf Costa Adeje

Even temperatures nudging 40 degrees couldn’t deter 168 keen golfers at Golf Costa Adeje on August 1 for the 5th round of the 2009 Circuit of Tenerife and La Gomera. The ground staff had risen to the weather challenge and prepared a fine round, now it was down to the players, and inspired by the amazing views, they returned some red hot score cards.

HOT SHOTS
Down to the action, and nearest the flag, on the 14th hole, went to Andres de la hera with .84 cms. Best senior was Giovanni Bolognese with 44 points, and there was glory for Mike McCarthy becoming best scratch player with 44 points.Hole 13 was thge setting for the longest drive, Georgina Day powering to the ladies award and Rodrigo Valverde proving strongest for the men.
