The standard has been set at a high level, now the Tenerife-La Gomera Circuit moves on to Tecina Golf in Playa de Santiago, La Gomera on Saturday 13 June. The first round of the 2009 circuit proved to be a great success, not only on the immaculate greens of Golf Las Americas, but also at the stylish presentation evening afterwards.

It’s just a short 40 minute crossing by Fred Olsen ferry to the beautiful island of La Gomera, and it’s 18 hole, par 71 course, set on a cliff top. The course was designed by Donald Steel, and has great views across the Atlantic to Tenerife, and inland over the Tecina valley. It’s a tough challenging course, particularly at 2 of its toughest holes. The 4th hole is a par 3 that flights the ball 169 metres over the Tapahuga ravine, the 10th is another stern test, this time over 337 metres from a tee that is 45 metres above the green level.

Both male and female competitors will find plenty to enjoy on their trip to this lush green island, and the golf will provide them with a fitting challenge to mind and body.
