Getting them young at Abama

What a future for golf in the Canary Islands. A far sighted scheme is pooling all the young golfing talent together for a series of intensive training camps, with a view to nurturing future professional talent.
Abama golf, on the west coast of Tenerife, was the setting this week for the first of the get togethers, sponsored by the Caja Siete bank. Some 45 of the cream of the crop among male and female junior golfers, gathered together for the first of the monthly sessions. It is all being overseen by the Caourse of narian Golf Federation and the Juvenil golf committee.
Abama is widely seen as one of the top courses in Tenerife, and with intensive training in technique and plenty of practice, we could soon see a new raft of talent making it’s name on the world stage. More power to their collective swings.
